PhD in Evaluating Hip-Replacement Biomechanics in Patients Living with Obesity

Patient-specific gait, imaging, musculoskeletal modelling, finite-element analysis and hip-simulator experiments to understand early mechanical failure after total hip replacement in patients with high BMI.

Applicants must be eligible for Home (UK) fee status. A first-class or upper-second-class degree, or equivalent, in mechanical or medical engineering or a related discipline is normally required; strong computational skills are expected.
