PhD Opportunity in Biomechanics of Hip Replacement Surgery and Peri-Prosthetic Fracture

A validated computational and experimental framework for predicting periprosthetic femoral fracture after total hip replacement, including CT-derived finite-element models, high-resolution imaging and fracture testing.

Applicants must be eligible for Home (UK) fee status. A first-class or upper-second-class degree, or equivalent, in mechanical or medical engineering or a related discipline is normally required; computational skills, ideally finite-element analysis, and laboratory experience are relevant.
