Synchrotron tomography, digital volume correlation and computational modelling of osteochondral structure and mechanics in osteoarthritis.

First-class undergraduate degree or equivalent in biomechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, biophysics, or a related field. Biomechanics is essential; imaging, experimental-rig development and coding are desirable.

Four-year full-time PhD. The studentship provides Home-rate tuition and a maintenance stipend for 3.5 years; international candidates must fund the difference to Overseas tuition.
